What is the Wireless Travel Guide?
It's a guide to mobile telephone service worldwide. Find the carriers that serve any area and the type of service they provide; view coverage maps and market maps of North America; search system ID numbers, U.S. licenses, and telephone number assignments; and locate area codes, frequency charts, roaming agreements, and industry web sites. The guide covers all wireless technology, including AMPS, CDMA, GSM, SMR, and TDMA.

How easy is it to use?
The guide is so user friendly that you don't need to read instructions. Simply click on a clearly labeled button, then make a choice from the menu of options that appears. You have instant access to the industry's most accurate and complete database, which contains more than 16,000 coverage maps, 20,000 indexed cities, and 63,000 records.

Can I use it without an Internet connection?
Yes, the entire guide is stored on your hard drive so you can use it on a notebook computer anywhere. Of course the links to web sites only work when you're connected to the Internet.

How do I order it?
Click the order button. We'll ship the CD within 24 hours by first class mail. Due to the number of maps it contains, the guide is too large to be sent over the Internet.

How do I install it?
Your password allows you to install the guide on one computer. You simply insert the CD to begin installing, which takes about five minutes. Registration is automatic if you're connected to the Internet, or you can complete it over the telephone.

How often is it updated?
The guide has been discontinued so it no longer is updated. You can still order the final edition that is from November 2006.

Can I download data?
The new guide is a stand-alone application. Since it allows data to be organized and viewed in many different ways, it's not necessary to download its data. With few exceptions, data cannot be copied from the guide.

Can I make electronic copies of pages in the guide?
Yes, you can make screen shots of pages in the guide, which are graphics that don't have editable text. They're easily attached to e-mails.
